Sunset on the vines.

No information, nothing to learn about...just the pleasure of looking at the nature.

new vine growing.

After 6 weeks of cold and rain, spring is coming with sun and heat. The soil is now full of watter and the warm temperatures are pulling the leaves and vegetations very rapidly. Even the new vine, planted in mrach on our plot of "the Cross" have some nice leaves.

Japanese Importer

Champagne Henriet bazin is present on the Japanese market since 2005.

We had the pleasure of going there in november 2009 during a show hosted by our importer. At this time, we were surprised by the high level of knowledge of the Japanese concerning Champagne. And, as for wine tasting and oenology than for champagne informations in general. The names of the villages and their location or the winemaking methods had no secret for them.

This time, the representatives for our importer make us the honor of their visit.

A visit of the press and winery gave the opportunity to present our winemaking methods, the dispatching of each plots or area in specific vat, to blend our clear wines in order to maintain a typicity of our terroirs and the long aging were appreciated.

The high point of the afternoon was the tasting of the range, in a fisrt time by family of grape varieties to better feel the aromas of each grape and, then, by vintages to better feel the selections of our plots and the best years.

A new great moment of pleasure and sharing.

Labeling of the Extra Brut

The label of our new cuvée Extra-Brut Blanc de Noirs 2008 were not delivered for more than an hour, and the ink was barely dried that the first bottles were already sold...but not even dressed. So, it's our first customer who sticked itself the labels on its bottles.

Thank you Nicolas, who accept with pleasure and made it with great seriousness and success. Promised, the next, we would dressed them.

American Importer - Illinois.

After a first meeting in Chicago in february, Mark wanted to visit Champagne Henriet Bazin.

Thank you Mark for your enthousiasm.
Taking advantage of a beautiful sunny morning, we had the pleasure to discover our terroirs, plots of land, and the nice landscapes if the eastern part of Montagne de Reims. Back at the winery, Marie-Noëlle presented the vats, the cellars, the wine makings and blending methods that she maintains as the 5th génération.

To help assimilate and understand so much informations we have tasted the entire range of cuvées..and some very new ones, as the future Blanc de Blancs 2009 from the montain de Reims, or the Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru 2009 from Verzy and Verzenay.

Nice sentence from our friend Ed.

Ed : "When I open a bottle from Champagne, I become connected to beauty and hospitality and nature, and to people who are willing to stand up for what they believe in. And for me, that is very important."

Thank you very much Ed.
